Time Really Is On Your Side

WHY do I say not to enter a restricted non-compete event if you already have a title from a system that doesn’t have a non-compete contract?

Simply put, should you be blessed enough to capture that second title, you may very well (depending on circumstances/contractual obligations) have to give up the previous one. And that is not fair to the director, your sister queens, or the other contestants standing on stage when you won.

Very few titleholders can juggle more than one reign at a time.

If you’re doing it right, you shouldn’t have time to represent more than one program at a time. Being a titleholder is a full-time job and if you’re juggling more than one, chances are, something is going to fall through the cracks.

Finish your reign, fulfill your obligations, and then compete again. Don’t “hedge your bets” thinking you “probably won’t win anyway, so it’s just for practice”. It’s not “practice” for the girl who wants that title more than anything.

You have PLENTY of time to compete.

You don’t have to collect all the crowns from all the systems. If you want a crown & sash that bad, you can order one from Amazon for $20 and buy a sash off Etsy for about the same.

Take your time and be intentional about what pageants you enter. Give your entire attention to the title you currently have. Set the bar for the next class of incoming royalty. Be the example of how you reign, not a cautionary tale!
